Omiyage Day

Japan has a culture of giving omiyage (sourvenirs) after they come back from a trip. This weekend, it seems like many people went for some trips. Mayu-Chan went to Chiba for an university interview and tests. After the tests, she went to Disney Sea and bought a Minnie Mouse HP accessory for me. Yuo went for a Karate Competition and bought a Karate bear for me. She won the 9th place in the Kyushuu competition, 很厉害！Very sweet girls and very sweet gifts! Teachers went on business trips and came back with biscuits and cakes. It feels great!

According to my student, Duffy Bear is very popular in Japan Disneyland.

More people carry a Duffy Bear around than a Mickey Mouse.



空手道。Karate

I was told by Yuo's teacher that she cried in class this morning. We did not know what happened and she didn't want to talk about it. She has high expectations of herself, she studies really hard, but her results are not good enough, she wanted to win the Karate competition but she got 9th, which was not good enough for her. I don't know what I can do to make her feel better. She likes to invite me for Homeroom session with her class, so today I saw her and I said," Let's go for Homeroom together." She was very happy and held my hands and even tried to warm my hands when she felt that they are cold. A very sweet girl who never fails to warm my heart. I hope she don't expect too much from herself and ends up an unhappy girl.
