Highlights of Gunma Part 1

Gunma Prefecture (群馬県 Gunma-ken) is a prefecture of Japan located in the northwest corner of the Kantō region on Honshū island.

Gunma is inaka, like Oita. So...Most of the people who know I was going to Gunma were puzzled. Why go to Gunma?

Cos my dear friend, Yong Quan is there as an ALT and I was suppose to go to Tokyo, so since Gunma is near (not so near actually, 3 hours away by train), I decided that I should spend Christmas there instead of staying in Oita. With Kiyomi, we embark on our journey to Gunma. I left home at 6.30am for the train to the airport, took the plane, then trains to Gunma. By the time I reached Gunma, it was already 6.50pm. Took me almost 12 hours to get there. Tiring...But it was worth it. I had a wonderful time there with YQ and Kiyomi and I had a white Christmas...
